This policy explains how Fractals Trading Technology ("Fractals") uses cookies and similar technologies on fractalsjournal.xyz and in the Fractals app. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. We follow the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR, and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) guidance on cookies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include your browser's local storage, pixels and scripts. We call them all "cookies" here.
What we use
| Type | What it does | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in, keeps a copy of your journal on your device so the app is fast and works offline, remembers your cookie choices, and protects payments from fraud | No. The Service won't work without it |
| Analytics | Counts visits and which pages and features help, so we can improve the website and app | Yes. Only used if you agree |
| Marketing | Remembers you across visits for relevant emails and ads | Yes. Only used if you agree |
On our website and in the Fractals app, analytics and marketing cookies are only set after you agree in the cookie banner. One choice covers both, because they share the same site. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the website footer or in the app's account menu. The banner only appears when we use analytics or marketing tools.

Our website also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address but sets no cookies.
Third-party cookies
Stripe sets cookies on its own checkout pages to prevent fraud. Klaviyo and Google set cookies only if you agree. Their use of the data is governed by their own privacy policies.
Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site storage through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of Fractals from working.
